Kelsey Harris is the Acting Deputy Director of Policy and Advocacy at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) in Washington, DC, USA. For the last 10+ years, Kelsey has worked in various policy and advocacy roles in gender, international development, and immigration in Washington, DC, and has extensive expertise in coalition building and project management. Kelsey currently manages WeProsper, a global coalition on women’s economic empowerment comprised of 70+ organizations, leading the coalition’s collective advocacy with the UN, World Bank/IMF, G20, and other global fora. She also serves as a U.S. delegate to the Women20 (W20).
Over the last two years, Kelsey has been deeply involved in global advocacy around the care economy through WeProsper, including helping to organize the Bali Care Economy Dialogue (November 2022) and the Women Deliver Pre-Conference on the Care Economy (July 2023). Prior to her work at ICRW, she spearheaded advocacy around gender and water, sanitation, and hygiene at InterAction, an alliance of international development and humanitarian INGOs.
Kelsey holds a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University in Arlington, VA and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
