Dara Kagan

Dara Kagan (she/her) works to create a larger ecosystem of justice-minded individuals and organizations to advance change. Since 2019, Dara has served as the First Vice President of Nonprofit and Social Impact Banking at Amalgamated Bank, the country’s largest socially responsible, B Corporation bank, where she leads strategy and relationship management for nonprofit, political, and foundation clients, supporting values alignment across banking, investing, and lending.

Her work at Amalgamated builds on over a decade of prior experience across government, nonprofits, political campaigns, and socially responsible investment and entrepreneurship. Former roles at the National Institute for Reproductive Health, International Planned Parenthood Federation, and Plum Alley Investments led Dara to focus on how the right kind of capital deployment and capacity building make social movements sustainable and successful over the long term. Dara holds a BA in Government from Smith College and an MBA in Sustainable Business from NYU Stern School of Business, and serves on the board of Nonprofit New York.
